Our mind and body are not in harmony, most of the time. Mind wonder in another place, while the body carry out a different activity.

Body scan is a practice to get both mind and body together in one harmony.

Hi, I am Harsha. Let me introduce you the easy three little steps to body scan.

Step 1: Sit in a comfortable position, and, close your eyes.

Step 2: Take a deep breath.

Taking your attention to your nostrils, observe the breathing.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Step 3: Now, let us focus your attention to your body, from toes to head.

Observe mindfully; your legs are nicely folded and resting, free from any tension.

Arms are resting nicely,

body is upright, the head is straight, resting on the neck comfortably.

Observe, the warmth and relaxed feeling throughout the body.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Now your body and mind are in harmony, and ready to maintain focus to breathing.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

In this short session, we have learned how to scan the body and bring the mind & body in harmony.

At the early stages of mindfulness practice, your mind would have many questions like ‘is my body upright?’

‘What does that mean to be tension free?’

‘Would I be able to stay long in this posture?’

Believe me, I had the same questions when I began meditation 25 years ago.

Then, in a short time, I learned, my mindfulness is the teacher to answer them.

Isn’t it beautiful! That is how mindfulness works.

Don’t worry. Just focus on your breathing now.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

Breathing in, Breathing out.

See you again in another session. Thank you.
